The purpose of this website is to educate everyone as to why these little water turtles, red-eared sliders, should never be purchased from a pet store!

If you or your child wants to have a red-eared slider for a pet, adopt one from a turtle society or turtle organization. Red-eared sliders are not good pets for children, for their care is very difficult, expensive, and children lose interest quickly, leading to millions of turtle sufferings and deaths. If you already own a red-eared slider, we have the lowest cost/easiest method of caring for them. Impulse purchasing and ownership of these innocent little creatures is, aggressively, exploited by the pet trade and veterinarians and should be illegal. - J.V. Bond, Biologist -
